For our unscented, biodegradable tinted lip balms, we use nourishing ingredients to repair and hydrate chapped lips, while still adding a touch of buildable color. The best thing about this lip balm is that a small amount goes a long way, AND it can be used as a cheek stain. Gotta love multipurpose!
Note: We make batches of 25, by hand, and each batch varies slightly in color. They will always turn out red, but will vary in brightness; lighter and darker reds.
Ingredients: local beeswax, organic coconut oil, organic jojoba oil, organic cocoa powder, red iron oxide powder
Ingredient benefits:
beeswax: natural emulsifier, locks in mositure, healing, anti-inflammatory, anti bacterial, great for soothing eczema and rosacea
coconut oil: moisturizing, anti-infammatory, healing, antimicrobial, gentle on sensitive skin
jojoba oil: anti-inflammatory, rich in vitmains and minerals, ultra-moisturizing, gentle on sensitive skin, great for soothing eczema and rosacea
cocoa powder: natural color to balance red-orange tone of iron oxide into a red
iron oxide: naturally occurring mineral from rust and used as a pigment in cosmetics. Iron oxides come from the earth and may have traces of heavy metals, but are regulated by the FDA and are safe for cosmetic-use.
When you use it all up, you can toss the tube right in the compost, label included!
